Malcolm X was a popular Black American human rights activist and also a prominent Muslim minister. To the vast numbers that admired this man’s character he was a brave man who took it upon himself to act as an advocate for the rights of other Black African Americans in the nation. Some considered Malcolm X to be a man who sought after justice for the Black Muslims in the USA, a man who would fight against the White native people for their crimes against America, but this man did not find favour in the hearts of all men. Malcolm X was criticised heavily for commiting crimes like Black supremacy, which hold strongly to the racist ideology that the Black Negro race is superior to all other races, Little was also accused of other crimes against humanity like anti-Semitism.

The Childhood of Malcolm X

Malcolm X has a rough childhood, and sometimes some of the events in his past are sometimes used to explain the man he turned out to be in the future. Malcolms father was allegedly killed by white people, supremacists, that believed their race was superior, at a young age of only thirteen years Malcolms mother placed her little boy in a mental hospital and he was placed in a series of foster homes after his Mothers rejection. Malcolm X was sent to prison after being charged with breaking and entering when he was twenty years old in 1946.

It was during his jail term that Malcolms future began to change, while serving time Malcolm became a member of the Nation Of Islam, the nation of Islam was the most powerful, successful and the largest Islamic nationalist movement the United States ever saw in modern history, the group was founded in 1930 by a man called Wallace Fard Muhammad. After Malcolm was released in 1952 he worked his way up the ladder and became one of the leaders of the group. He became increasingly popular within the group and soon became a target for some of the other members of the group, by 1964 he left the group due to some reason involving the then leader Elijah Muhammad. He traveled to Africa and the Middle east and also made Hajj in Saudi Arabia. After he returned to the United States, he found a group called Muslim Mosque Inc. and he also found the Organisation of Afro-American Unity. Malcolm X was killed at the age of 39 in 1965 by three members of the Nation of Islam just less than a year after he left the group.

The Change of Malcolm X

Unique about Malcolm X was his changing expressed beliefs, while within the confines of the Nation of Islam he believed in black supremacy and preached it but upon leaving he claimed he was being controlled and became anti-racism, shedding such believes and becoming a Sunni Muslim.
